The Ammo Academy is a Southeast Michigan firearms training company focused on private instruction, Michigan CPL training, private group training, and church safety education.

We serve individuals, couples, families, private groups, and churches who want a more thoughtful, professional, and personalized training experience. Our goal is not to push every student through the same path. Our goal is to help each client find the right training for their experience level, responsibilities, and real-world needs.

In a world where personal safety, judgment, and preparedness matter more than ever, good training should do more than check a box. It should build understanding, confidence, and practical skill.

The Ammo Academy is led by Wes Francis.

Wes’s approach is direct, professional, and centered on responsible gun ownership, practical preparation, and real-world application. He works with students who want more than rushed instruction or a one-size-fits-all experience. Whether the need is private coaching, CPL training, private group instruction, or church safety education, his focus is on helping people move forward with clarity, competence, and confidence.

Wes is USCCA certified and has also completed instructor certification in Church Safety: Protecting Your Congregation, allowing The Ammo Academy to offer faith-friendly training and consultation for churches thinking seriously about preparedness and protection.
